As a Behavior Specialist, you will work directly with children and families to support meaningful skill development through ABA therapy. You will implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Senior Behavior Analyst or supervising clinician, collect session data, and help create a supportive environment where clients can learn, grow, and build confidence.

This role may include services in the home, community, or virtual setting depending on each client’s treatment plan and family needs.

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy and support to children and families.
• Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Use behavior support strategies to help decrease challenging behaviors and build replacement skills.
• Collect and record data during each session to track client progress.
• Complete accurate session notes and documentation within required timelines.
• Communicate professionally with families, clinicians, and team members.
• Attend supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training as needed.
• Collaborate with other care professionals when appropriate to support a holistic approach.
• Redirect caregiver or provider concerns back to the supervising Behavior Analyst when needed.
• Follow ethical and professional standards of care at all times.

• No previous ABA experience required. We are happy to train the right person.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and accept feedback.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-intensity situations.
• Reliable transportation.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, move quickly, and remain active during therapy sessions.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds when needed.

• Previous experience working with children.
• Experience in childcare, child therapy, ABA, or direct support services.
• Registered Behavior Technician, RBT, certification.
• Interest in growing within the ABA field.

This position is available as part-time or full-time, with service hours based on client and family needs. Sessions may take place during afternoons, evenings, or weekends, since therapy schedules are designed around when support is most effective for each client.

Pay starts at $15.00 per hour for candidates who do not currently have RBT certification and may range up to $26.00 per hour based on certification, education, relevant experience, location, and other factors.

Unyque Therapy Services provides training and resources to help new team members prepare for the RBT exam. Exam reimbursement may be available after passing. Part-time roles are considered under 32 hours per week and do not have a minimum billable requirement. Part-time employees may also be eligible for admin time based on weekly billable hours.
